I participated in the Yuletide ficathon for the first time this year, which was quite fun although somewhat intimidating! Now that the author reveal has happened, I can post a link to the story I wrote.

The fandom is Kill Bill, and my recipient is Hikario, who asked for Bride aka Beatrix Kiddo/Elle Driver/Go-Go Yubari/O-Ren Ishii, and added that "It's Kill Bill; violence, blood, introspection, s'all good. Character exploration would be especially nice." I made sure to include all these characters and did my best to include a bit of both blood and introspection. It was fun to write (my first fic in this fandom, so it was also hard and I was very very nervous!), and Hikario left me the nicest comment EVER. You rock, Hikario!

Rating: Maybe R for violent imagery. Spoilers for Parts I and II, plus some speculation about possibilities afterwards. Genfic, multicharacter.

So I've signed up for 3 (three!) prompts for the Cuddy Fest over on LJ. They're due mid-to-late August (from the 13th to the 27th), so I don't think getting them done will be a problem. And I'll definitely post them here, both in my personal journal and in housefic.

The one I'm looking forward to writing the most? Pirateverse! With Cuddy the Pirate Queen and Cameron the kidnapped governor's daughter. *Snort* Cracked-out AUs for the win!

Title: Succession

Rating: Probably a hard R, for sexual situations and violence.
Pairings: Contains Madeline/Paul (Operations) and Charles Sand/Madeline as well as references to Adrian/George, but this doesn't fit comfortably into "shippy" categories.
Length: The whole thing is 120k-plus words. There are 31 chapters, which are distributed among four "Parts."
Warning: Michael and Nikita do not appear in this story, except as minor references at the very end.
Summary: Set during the 1980's, this story traces the events that ultimately led to the overthrow of Adrian as leader of Section One and to her replacement by Paul Wolfe (Operations).

This is a somewhat long story, so to avoid having it clog up the journal too much, I've posted the chapters in backdated form. This post contains an index and links to all the chapters for ease of access. But once you get into the story chapters, I've included navigation so you can easily move back and forth without having to return to the index.
